Evidence-Based Counselling for Sustainable Well-Being

About Me

I believe meaningful counselling begins with feeling genuinely heard.

As a professional counsellor, my goal is to provide a warm, respectful, and collaborative space where individuals, couples, and families can speak openly about what they are experiencing and begin to better understand the patterns affecting their lives and relationships.

My approach is trauma-informed and client-centred. I recognize that many of the ways we think, respond, cope, or relate to others have developed for a reason. Rather than approaching these patterns with judgment, I work alongside clients to explore how they developed, how they may be affecting life today, and what different ways of responding may be possible.

I draw from approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), adapting counselling to each client's individual needs, goals, experiences, and readiness. Our work may include exploring recurring patterns, thoughts and beliefs, emotional responses, relationships, communication, boundaries, coping strategies, personal values, and practical ways of navigating difficult situations.

Listening is central to how I practise. I believe people often need the opportunity to tell their story and feel understood before meaningful change can begin. My role is not to tell you who you should be or what you should believe. Instead, I aim to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, help you recognize patterns, and work collaboratively with you as you explore what meaningful change looks like in your life.

I welcome clients from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, family structures, and life experiences. Your individual values and worldview are respected throughout the counselling process.

I offer virtual individual counselling, couples counselling, and family-focused counselling to clients in Alberta and British Columbia, subject to applicable professional and jurisdictional requirements.
